A man on the side of the trail loses his mind on this hellish night. The image he saw earlier that day haunts him.

“Turned clean inside out,” the tradesman says softly while staring blankly into the dark of the heart of trees he was camping in, scratching idly at the flaky patch of skin along his neck.
